Amman – Minister of Investment Dr. Tareq Abu Ghazaleh today discussed ways to strengthen investment cooperation between Jordan and Italy during his meeting with Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to Jordan, H.E. Pier Luigi Zamborlini.
Dr. Abu Ghazaleh stressed the importance of building on the strong relations between Jordan and Italy, intensifying engagement with the Italian private sector, institutions, and investors, and connecting them with available investment opportunities and projects in the Kingdom. He noted that this would contribute to attracting high-quality investments and expanding partnerships.
He highlighted the importance of building on the outcomes of the recent Jordanian delegation visit to Milan, which included meetings with Italian companies and economic institutions, and following up on the interest expressed by these companies in investment opportunities available in Jordan, with the aim of translating this interest into partnerships and investment projects.
The two sides also discussed ways to enhance the participation of Italian companies and investors in the Jordan–EU Investment Conference, scheduled to be held at the Dead Sea on November 19, and to leverage the conference as a practical platform for connecting European companies with investment opportunities and projects in Jordan, while fostering partnerships between the Jordanian and European private sectors.
Abu Ghazaleh affirmed that Jordan is working to strengthen its position as a stable and reliable investment destination, leveraging its strategic location, trade agreements, and skilled human capital, alongside legislative and procedural reforms aimed at facilitating business activity, enabling investments to grow and expand, and providing access to regional markets.
For his part, Ambassador Zamborlini affirmed Italy’s interest in developing economic and investment relations with Jordan and strengthening engagement between the business communities of the two countries, contributing to exploring new areas of cooperation and building partnerships that serve their mutual interests.
He expressed his commitment to continuing coordination and supporting efforts related to the Jordan–EU Investment Conference, in a manner that strengthens the participation of Italian companies and opens broader prospects for economic and investment cooperation between Jordan and Italy.
