Minister of Investment, H.E. Dr. Tareq Abu Ghazaleh, today met with the Ambassadors and Heads of Mission of the European Union Member States accredited to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to discuss preparations for the Jordan–EU Investment Conference and explore ways to strengthen cooperation and expand the economic and investment partnership between Jordan and the European Union.

During the meeting, Dr. Abu Ghazaleh affirmed that the Conference, scheduled to be held at the Dead Sea on 19 November, represents a strategic platform that will bring together leading investors, decision-makers, and representatives of financial and development institutions to translate the longstanding Jordan–EU partnership into high-impact projects and sustainable investments that serve shared interests.

He noted that the Ministry, in cooperation with the European Commission and EU Member States, continues to conduct investment promotion roadshows across several European countries to showcase Jordan’s investment opportunities and encourage the participation of European investors and companies—particularly those from the private sector—in the Conference.

The Minister also reviewed the key legislative and regulatory reforms that have enhanced the competitiveness of Jordan’s investment environment, in addition to the strategic projects and investment opportunities that will be highlighted during the Conference, with the aim of fostering stronger partnerships with European investors.

Dr. Abu Ghazaleh stated that the Jordanian economy has demonstrated remarkable resilience in the face of regional and global developments, supported by the Kingdom’s strategic location, extensive network of trade agreements, and enduring stability, further reinforcing Jordan’s position as a regional hub for high-value investments.

For their part, several EU Ambassadors and Heads of Mission reaffirmed that Jordan is a trusted strategic partner, commending the economic reforms that have strengthened the business environment, as well as the Kingdom’s stability, strategic location, and trade agreements, which position it as a gateway to regional and international markets.

They also expressed their support for the ongoing preparations for the Jordan–EU Investment Conference, reaffirming their commitment to encouraging the participation of the European private sector, with a view to strengthening economic and investment partnerships and opening new avenues for cooperation between Jordan and the European Union.
